Striped pants bring to mind traveling carnivals of yore, when the lead showgirl would sneak into the ringmaster’s dressing room. She dons his stripy pants and a red satin (the same shade as her lipstick) jacket with tails and lounges on the battered blue velvet divan that’s been transported by horse-drawn buggy from town to town. The ringmaster doesn’t know about the love she’s been harboring for him since she began traveling with the carnival months ago, but he will when he returns to his chamber!
Or is that just me?
