UPDATE: I forgot to tell you guys what’s in it for you!! Every time you vote in the Naya contest, you’ll be entered to win a free pair of Naya’s Palomi sandals, which are pretty much the perfect summer sandals. And read on to find out about their eco-friendly attributes. But wait, there’s more! If I WIN the styling contest, I get FOUR pairs of Naya shoes to distribute to my readers. Go on now, get voting!
Naya, a line of super comfy and environmentally friendly shoes, asked me to style a pair of their footwear to participate in a friendly little contest between bloggers they chose from around the country. The contest went live today! Vote for me, please?
Also, here are some outtakes of my photo shoot so you can get a better look at how I styled these green platform lovelies. I’ve been dying to wear this Mara Hoffman kaftan since I scored it on Gilt a couple years ago. The bright green shoes somehow inspired me to break it out of the closet, even though it was freezing in Pacifica that day! The leather-paneled leggings are Alice and Olivia. These shoes are seriously cushy—perfect for a weekend picnic where you want to look super stylish but still be able to perhaps toss a frisbee about. And it’s a major bonus that they use vegetable-tanned leathers and linings, natural or recycled fabrics, and water-based cements. Their comfy footbeds are made of natural cork, the outsoles are all natural materials, the boxes made with 80 percent recycled paper pulp. They also use soy-based inks and water-based glue (I just received a pair of shoes in the mail that seriously made my room smell like poison from the glue. They are going back!), PLUS reusable shoe bags and shoe forms made with recycled PET.
But most importantly: Vote for me??!!
