Everyone is talking about deep reds, maroons, purples and such for fall. I’m definitely not complaining; these are my colors! With all that in mind, this Helmut Lang dress ($290 at Bergdorf Goodman) caught my eye, despite the fact that Bergdorf’s claims it’s made of wool (wool makes me itchy!). The description, however, says it’s made of MicroModal, which is not wool but a newfangled eco-friendly fabric comprised of European beechwood. Confused, I called customer service and they told me the dress is indeed made of MicroModal, which is good news indeed! Plus, this dress is perfect for the transition from summer to fall. And it’s versatile. Wear it with booties for a cool-girl undone done look or go with chic pumps for work. When it gets cooler, a blazer will keep you warm and professional looking, or a fun cardigan can keep it more casual. We’ve got a winner here, folks!
