Do you know about the littlest indie atelier in San Francisco? You totally should. It’s called Fiat Lux, and when it comes to awesomeness, it’s the biggest! That’s why I’m so excited to host a giveaway of their super stackable and collectable hammered silver and gold rings. Fiat Lux owners (and make-out partners) Alexei and Marie make them in their home studio, which is two blocks from their shop in the Castro. Alexei, by the way, is also “this close” to getting his Ph.D. in philosophy at Stanford and also studies proof theory, and Marie also owns Rose Gold tattoo parlor in the Haight. I know, they’re an intimidatingly cool couple! But they’re actually really friendly and were nice enough to gift me these rings. I love the lover’s knot in oxidized silver for the upper part of my middle finger; better for patting baby’s bottoms and flipping people off with extra charm!
Besides their own work, Marie and Alexei also curate a collection of the best and brightest up and coming jewelers and clothing designers in San Francisco and beyond. They round it all out with a bit of deadstock luxury vintage. If you can’t make it into their teeny (it’s 250 square feet) Castro shop, worry not, they’re opening an online store this November! Deets about the rings: Lover’s knot comes in silver, oxidized or normal, for $35. You can also get it in yellow gold for $120, which I am currently coveting. The other featherweight stackables come in silver, oxidized or plain, and cost $15 each or 3 for $40. In the super pretty rose gold you see before you they cost $55 or two for $100.
