If you’re like me and will not be riveted to the television tonight or diving into the madness of AT&T Park, head slightly north of the World Series action to 111 Minna where shoe purveyor Kurt Geiger is hosting an event devoted to San Francisco Style. The London-based shoe company graced San Francisco with its first U.S. location earlier this year and threw a Fashion’s Night Out party to remember. Now they’re continuing their love affair with our foggy city with drinks from 15 Romolo, bites from Brass Knuckle food truck, and a panel discussion. Psst: yours truly is a panelist! My panel mates will be Jenny Lodge of Threadflip and Going West, Jon Tower Ackerman, community manager at Yelp, Aaron Smith, partner at 15 Romolo, and Jonathan Kaufman, SF editor at Tasting Table, and the moderator is the lovely Jennifer Maerz from The Bold Italic. Friends, I am a tiny bit terrified of public speaking so please wish me luck! Tickets are $25, and for the price you’ll get all of the above plus a gifty bag including a $25 Kurt Geiger gift certificate—good trade! It’s happening tonight from 6 to 9:30pm. AND, drum roll, Blackbird Blackbird will play after the panel! Buy your tickets here, and see you there!
