Fashion month is in its last couple days, wrapping things up in Paris. I’ve been loving watching it all unfold on Snapchat, and I’m finally getting caught up with all the shows. The Maiyet show in New York was a standout for me for several reasons: green booties with the black gown below, the shearling coat, THE BAGS, thetie-front blouses, the shearling cape, tuxedo-style jackets, a plunging black dress with transparent sleeves, and the long slip dresses.
Designer Declan Kearney made references to the ’60s with teased hair, to the ‘90s (with an upgrade) with his slip dresses, and to the ’70s with the tie-front blouses and shearling coats. Together it was all so wearable
The closing model’s walk was beyond fierce (watch the video below) and the finale to Walk on the Wild Side (in German?) was perfection.
