Celebrating the Kenny G + Hana Gin partnership (Photo by Drew Altizer)
If the dad or dads in your life are as difficult to buy for as mine, I feel your struggle. I’ve been scanning the web, my inbox, and my immediate environs for ideas, so I hope I can be of some help. Some of the items here I included in my Forbes Father’s Day gift guide, and I’ve added on a few bonuses especially for Stylenik readers. If you can’t take dad to a private Kenny G performance, these are some next-best options. Without further ado, let’s get to it because the big day is coming up FAST.
Hana Gin
Kenny G (yes that Kenny G) just went into business with the family team at Branded Spirits USA to bring you this beautifully-bottled gin. They all got together recently to celebrate the new partnership at the Clocktower building in San Francisco and put on a private show for a small audience. It was for sure the closest I’ve ever been to a megastar (interview coming soon at Forbes), and he waved at my daughter Frida WHILE PLAYING HIS SAX.
Anyway, I’ve never been a gin person, and I don’t know if it was the smooth jazz or what, but I very much enjoyed this spirit even without mixers—though I do encourage you to try the Kenny G&T recipe:
2 ounces Hana Gin
.75 oounces Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
Squeeze of orange wedge
Tonic water, for serving
Add ingredients to rocks glass filled with ice, stir, andtop with premium tonic water. Drink up and enjoy!
UBI-IND Mi Cocina Colleciton
The apron is the show-stopper but the other accessories (like the oven mitt and pan holder) are perfect little gifts from little ones.
Atlas Coffee Club
This is my favorite recent discovery. The coffee is incredible, the bags are beautiful (which makes it an especially nice gift) and the price is right, especially compared to other premium coffees.
Clutter
Got clutter? Get rid of it as effortlessly as possible with this online service. They pack it up and ship it to storage for you. When you need the stuff again, just ping them and they’ll bring it back.
Harvest Home
This online home goods retailer offers many choices for man cave sprucing up, including beautiful recliners (a dad favorite, needless to say). Or grab a gift certificate if dad’s tastes are on the inscrutable side.

Pacifica Vodka made by the Tripp Distillery
Pacifica Vodka
You have to be in the Bay Area for this one, and if you’re anywhere nearby, it’s worth the trip to visit the Tripp Distillery (see what I did there?) in Pacifica. They recently bottled their first batches of organic, single barrel vodka. Keep an eye out for rum, whiskey and more coming soon. The $30 (including tax) bottles are available only at the distillery. Even better than a bottle, stop by the distillery (1121 Palmetto Avenue, Pacifica) on Saturday for FREE ongoing vodka making workshops led by founder Jason Tripp on Saturday from 12 to 6pm!

Public Bikes
Public Bikes
I received a yellow version for Mother’s Day one year and it’s one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. These bikes are reasonably priced, super high-quality, and beautiful to look at. Plus, they have 30% off sale going right now! The model pictured above is $399, down from $549. They also make the best kids’s bikes (we bought one for my daughter for Christmas)!
