Hey guys! Isn’t it awesome that Wrangler is doing this throwback 70th anniversary collection? It’s one of those Americana companies that I feel a deep nostalgia for. I and all of my friends wore Wrangler jeans when we were kids, and I love these styles that harken back to the 70s.
Also, in case you didn’t notice on my Instagram, we have a new member of the family: this crazy little kitten. Our previous beloved cat, Trudy, died at the age of 18 about four years ago, so I was pretty ready for another kitty when my friend Erin posted this one’s picture in a group chat with the caption, “Anybody want a kitten?” I immediately replied that yes, I did, and then asked my husband what he thought (I guess it probably should have been in the reverse order).
She was found outside the Palace of Fine Arts (where Erin works) with two litter mates and no mama. She was so tiny and frail when we first got her that I was worried for her health. But we’ve had her about a month and she’s just fine, in fact she’s kind of a maniac. She is attacking my feet as I type (as per usual), and she tears through the house like a wild tiger, which turned out to be a good name for her (the kids came up with it).
I’m so glad we adopted Tiger. I was worried our teen wouldn’t like her because he has been pushing hard for a dog. But he plays with her more than any of us. Frida needs to be watched closely around her because she doesn’t seem to quite understand that the kitten is not a toy. She’s starting to get it though, and she’s learning some good lessons about kindness (and mortality, yikes).
Anyway, that’s the latest from our growing family. Hope you all had a great weekend!
