Did you just decide that, despite your aversion to crowds and drunk people, that you will go out tonight, because otherwise you will feel enormously lame? Don’t worry. You have the Internet, and it can show you how to whip up a genius costume in no time. Here are some of my favorite last-minute costume guides from across the web:
2. American Apparel has some fun, easy, and much better than last year ideas which, naturally, involve items you can purchase form them. But you may very well have many of these items lying around the house. I’m still trying to convince the husband to be a ’50s couple with me.
3. Science and Entertainment Exchange: Are you a big nerd like me? Do you know what Schrodinger’s cat is? Then you should check out these costumes from the Science and Entertainment Exchange blog. Impress some, confuse others.
5. Frida Kahlo: This was mainly an excuse to post the picture of myself above. But it was seriously an easy costume: pick up some fake flowers from the fabric store, get a long dress or skirt (or layer a few of them like I did) and pile on the jewelry. The finishing touch is black eyeliner, obviously, for your unibrow and stache. It was my favorite costume ever (Princess Leia was a close second).
Happy Halloween everyone!!
