I was skeptical when my yoga teacher first introduced me to the fermented beverage at our local grocery store. It seemed kind of gross with that stuff floating in it and upon observing this, I began to shake it. “No,” Wini said. “Put that back.” You don’t shake kombucha, just like you don’t shake beer or Coca-Cola.
So I chose a different one (I placed the shaken one at the back of the fridge to let it settle but I probably should have reported my error to someone who worked there—oh the 20/20 hindsight of a moral quandary. I promise I did not shake it that hard.). It turns out kombucha gives me the satisfaction of a soda without the sugar and with tummy-comforting effects. And the particles don’t really both me. I just usually leave the last sip at the bottom. This ginger-lemon one has been my recent favorite because it has has the perfect bite and Good Eggs delivers it!
Such is my obsession with kombucha of late that I couldn’t help but imagine it as an outfit. Shopping details above!
